Unless you want to buy a massaging tool, it is essentially free to practice a self-massage with either your hands or an object lying around your house.

Self-massaging is affordable and does not take a large amount of time out of your day. There is no need to waste time booking an appointment with a massage professional and there is no need to feel self-conscious about being touched by someone you just met. A self-massage treatment can practically be done anywhere at any time. You can perform self-massaging techniques in your home, office, or even your car. For mild stiffness of pain, you only need to massage for a few moments. More severe cases may require more time in order to get all the muscle knots out.

You know your body best, so it is good to explore your muscles until you find the spot that is specifically tight or painful. Once found, apply pressure with your finger or massage tool that is strong, yet tolerable. Massage that area at least twice per day until you don’t feel the pain anymore. After the self-massage treatment, be sure to gently stretch out the area.
